What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hemer Provincial Park is praised for its beautiful lakeside views and dog-friendly forest trails, offering a peaceful escape. While many enjoy the natural scenery and birdwatching opportunities, some visitors note that the park could benefit from more trail maintenance and clearer signage on smaller paths. The small parking lot is also a recurring point of feedback.
"This is a lovely park with some great trails. The paths are dog-friendly (and not too muddy) and the views of the water are spectacular.
On this particular day, my friend, my dog, and I went to the park for a casual walk. We saw a beautiful cormorant near the start of our little hike and some swans near the end.
My only gripe about this park is the tiny parking lot which forces people to park on the side of the road sometimes. Other than this, I highly recommend this park for anything from a family outing to a solitary, pensive walk."

"I really liked this park. 3 stars is because it hasn't seen some maintenance. A lot of branches litter the trails. I was happy to see small maps along 5he way however it could use some arrows to show which direction to take as there are a lot of smaller trails that branch off from main trail. Some people could get confused, like us, who took some wrong turns. It has a beautiful lookout over the lake. It's a lovely place and not a hard walk."

"Forested park with many options. Part of it does walk along a lake, which was my favorite part.
The lake image is actually upside down and a reflection of the still water."
