"Honestly I wish i can rate this 0 stars but that's not a option the swimming instructors do not care and I would also dread the days where they announced to you if you passed or not thease people were all the time not passing me and passing other people to the next level and mind you I was literally copying and doing the same moves of the people in my level and doing it exactly like they were and guess what they passed and I didn't like make that make sense half of the instructors there told me try 1 more time when it was the day to like announced if you passed and I did "1 more times" 6 times honestly I would highly suggest you or your daughter or your son to stop going there and the water is very cold there and you your kid could get sick way more easily beacuse of the cold water, when you also go public swimming you have to get this bracelet to swim there alone and they except you to onl BREATH 2 TIMES from the deep end all the way to the front like how is anyone going to pass that? and if you can't do that than you can't swim alone. Honestly the worst place I've ever been to"

"I usually enjoy working out at the Magna Centre, but the cleanliness of the fitness area has really gone down. The floors, fans, and weight area don’t seem to be cleaned regularly. We have to touch the floor during some exercises, and you can clearly see dust and footprints from outdoor shoes.

Some people wear their outdoor shoes inside, even though they could leave them at the entrance. The black flooring hides some dirt, but the dust and footprints are still very noticeable—it gives the impression that cleaning isn’t a priority. The same issue can be seen on the stairs as well.

I’ve already mentioned this to customer service, but the area is still not clean. I really hope the management pays attention to this, as the facility itself is great but needs better maintenance."

In-depth insights and expert knowledge

Navigating the Magna Centre's Aquatic Facilities

The Magna Centre boasts impressive aquatic facilities, including a 25-metre community pool and a 21-metre learning pool. These are great for lap swimming, casual dips, and swimming lessons. However, some reviews mention that the pool water can be quite cold, which might be a consideration for those sensitive to temperature. Additionally, there are specific rules for public swimming, such as breath-holding requirements for swimming alone in the deep end, which some visitors found challenging or unclear. :swimmer:

For those considering swimming lessons, feedback has been mixed. Some patrons felt that instructors were inconsistent in their evaluations, leading to frustration. It's worth noting these experiences when planning lessons or public swim sessions. :teacher:

Fitness Centre Experience at Magna Centre

The Magna Centre's fitness centre is equipped with the essentials for a solid workout, making it a convenient option for those looking for a gym. It offers a full-sized gymnasium and a walking track, providing diverse options for cardio and strength training. :muscle:

However, a recurring theme in reviews is the concern over the cleanliness of the fitness area. Visitors have noted that floors, fans, and weight areas do not appear to be cleaned regularly, with visible dust and footprints from outdoor shoes. This has led to concerns about hygiene, especially during exercises that involve floor contact. :dust:

Management has been alerted to these cleanliness issues, but improvements have been slow. Visitors are advised to be aware of this and perhaps bring their own sanitizing wipes for equipment. The facility itself is well-regarded, but consistent maintenance and cleaning are crucial for a better user experience. :broom:

Ice Sports and Skating at Magna Centre

The Magna Centre is a premier destination for ice sports, featuring three NHL-sized ice rinks. These rinks are ideal for hockey leagues, figure skating practice, and public skating sessions. The quality of the ice itself is generally praised by visitors. :icehockeystickandpuck:

Public skating sessions, however, have seen some criticism regarding rule enforcement. Specifically, during adult skating drop-in times, there have been frequent instances of figure skaters performing spins and jumps, often in the centre of the ice, which is designated for beginners. This disrupts the experience for perimeter skaters and raises safety concerns. :warning:

There's also a noted issue with payment for adult skating drop-ins, with some individuals reportedly entering and skating without paying. This lack of enforcement, coupled with the disruption from figure skaters, detracts from the intended experience for many patrons. :moneywithwings:
