What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tannery Park is widely praised as a beautifully maintained and well-designed waterfront park offering serene views of Lake Ontario and the Oakville Marina. Visitors appreciate the ample seating, scenic trails, and the opportunity to see the Toronto skyline on clear days. While generally well-equipped, some note potential for mosquitoes near stagnant water and limited parking during peak times.
"This park is a very nice place to either sit down, relax and enjoy the view of Lake Ontario; or, be active and walk, run, bike or skate. It is connected to Water Works Park on the west side and Sixteen Mile Creek on the east side. There are limited parking spots on both Tannery park and Water Works park.
I went here on a Friday night when the weather was very windy and there were big waves in the lake, so the path to the pier was closed.
There are many benches on the waterfront trail that you can sit down and enjoy the view and park is well-maintained and clean. You also can see the Toronto skyline on a good weather condition. The monument on the Tannery Hill Beacon is nice to watch and you also can enjoy the view better from up in the hill."

"The Tannery Park is new and well designed, and many benches along the boardwalk so that we have a gorgeous view of the Lake Ontario and the sailing boats in and out of the Oakville Marina. The Larry Cain Trail and nature walk is OK for the kiddos and elders. There's an Observation Deck, and a few picnic tables and chairs are set for people to spend a few peaceful hours. There're many parking spots, and you may get some parking spots with shade, too."
