"Well maintained trails, bridges and boardwalks and loads of birds, squirrels and chipmunks. Lots of parking."
N.J. Robertson
"It's a wetland, it's wet and natural. You can hand feed most birds here. It's free and small enough that little kids don't get bored too quickly. It's not the longest walking path but its a nice get away from the town while being right in the middle of it. There's custom benches, art pieces, and even access to toilets at two locations (one at the visitor center that closes when no employees are present and one on the trail system (never went at night and cannot confirm if its open 24/7). The added visitor center, although breaks the natural look of the area does add a bunch of information about the area of Oromocto, from stories about the past to current ecological varietties of the wetland."
Michel Daigle
"I go here at least once a week to walk the trails and watch the squirrels and birds. It's a well-maintained trail even in the office season when the Information Centre is closed. It's up to the people who use the trail to clean up after themselves or their pets. Leave nature the way you found it, or even cleaner."

Exploring the Wetland Ecosystem
The visitor center offers valuable insights into the specific ecological varieties of the wetland, detailing the flora and fauna you might encounter. Understanding the importance of these natural spaces can enhance your appreciation for the trail. Remember that you are a guest in their habitat, so observing from a distance and refraining from feeding wildlife (unless specifically encouraged and with appropriate food) is always best practice.
Even in different seasons, the wetland offers a unique perspective. While spring and summer bring lush greenery and active wildlife, autumn paints the landscape with vibrant colors. Winter transforms the area into a serene, snow-dusted wonderland. Each season provides a distinct and beautiful experience for visitors.

These artistic and historical touches transform the Oromocto River Trail from just a nature walk into a more comprehensive cultural and sensory experience. It's a place where nature, art, and history converge, offering something for every visitor.
