What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Canada Aviation and Space Museum for its impressive collection of aircraft and its engaging journey through Canadian aerospace history. It's noted as a great experience for both aviation enthusiasts and families, with interactive elements and well-maintained exhibits. While the space can be echoey and the dedicated kids' area small, the overall consensus is a highly recommended, educational, and fun visit.
"We came here to use our ASTC Passport. The staff was friendly, handed us a map and told us about the demonstrations that they were going to be doing over the next couple hours. This place is really large and they have a lot of planes, helicopters, and a few ground based vehicles. It can get quite loud since everything echoes in this massive warehouse.
Most of the displays are static displays that you will pause to read. A lot of really interesting aviation history going back over 100 years. I was a big fan of the display regarding the engines used in planes. Their kid section is pretty small, so it can get crowded and chaotic. They did have a great demonstration for the kids and adults about how to land a plane. Being able to sit in a cockpit really makes you appreciate what fighter pilots go through.
Overall it is a really interesting museum with a lot of interesting planes. It's not really a place I would bring a younger child as there isn't much for them to do and interact with. If you have time to walk and read this is a good place to go."

"I’ve visited many aviation and space museums around the world — it’s a passion of mine. This one isn’t the biggest I’ve seen, but it’s definitely worth a visit. It’s very well organized, exceptionally maintained, and most of the aircraft have been carefully restored.
The layout makes it easy to explore on your own, and there are plenty of activities for kids — they definitely won’t get bored.
Every few steps you’ll find a scene worth photographing — the visual composition inside is thoughtfully arranged and often feels picture-perfect.
Highly recommended for both aviation enthusiasts and families."
