What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Maplelawn Garden is widely praised as a beautiful and peaceful city gem, especially for its vibrant flower displays and photographic potential. Visitors appreciate its free entry and the adjacent historic Keg Manor. However, some recent changes to the garden's layout, reducing open green spaces, have been noted with disappointment by a few long-time visitors.
"Great little gem within the city! So many variety of flowers. It's a beautiful peacefull place.
One of my favorite locations for taking pictures of flowers, bees and butterflies. Sometimes a bunny if your lucky. It is a well taken care of garden! A plus is the very photogenic Keg manor which is located next to the garden. There is on-site parking behind the garden shared with the Keg."

"Wonderful place for a dinner at the historical building with The Keg and a walk though the beautiful gardens. Wall is fenced off as of summer 2023 but garden entrance on west end is open."
Jasmine Dubecki
"Should be 5 Stars! BUT!!! They have taken away the walkable/playable/picnicable green spaces that you see in the second photo. Now it's... Overgrown... 'Squeezed in' ... Lots of flowers for sure... But it's lost its 'secret hideaway' feel and is now a very colourful and vast row of bushes. Call the crew in and Change it Back!"
