What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Overhanging Point for its spectacular views and rewarding hike along the Bruce Trail, with many highlighting the unique hidden swimming cave. While some find the attraction itself 'alright' compared to other viewpoints, the overall consensus is that the hike and the dramatic scenery are well worth the effort, especially for nature lovers and photographers.
"A super fun hike. Take the Marr Lake trail and when you reach the rocky beach, turn left to find the Bruce Trail. It's take 15-20 mins once you enter the forest. Once you arrive there is a small cave on the ground that will take you below the overhang. I went in with my 9 and 12 year old. They did require my assistance."
Tim Dobing
"Hiking here from the grotto is not a challenge like the map indicates, as long as you have sure footing (due to the rocky beach) you will enjoy the spectacular views along the hike as the trail takes you up and over the cliffs, the first sight you will see is the hidden swimming cave from above before you make your way across the rocky beach and up into the hills. Once you reach the point you can walk 3 minutes further if you want a good place to take pictures of your friends who are sitting on the overhanging point. Overall very recommended, spectacular views and an enjoyable hike!"
Adam Bialecki
"The hike there is great but the attraction itself is alright. It's definitely interesting, but unless you really want to see it, it's not worth the hike. There is not a great view of the water compared to other viewpoints on the trail."
