Looking to propose to my girlfriend at Bois De Liesse Nature park in DDO is this a good place?

So basically we both want something private with no people around and nice view like a waterfront maybe. Possibly planning to do it Friday night. Does anyone know if this is a good place?

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse for its beautiful, well-maintained trails and peaceful natural setting, offering a welcome escape from the city. The clear signage and availability of amenities like restrooms and picnic areas enhance the experience. Some note that interactive displays are exclusively in French, which could be a minor drawback for non-French speakers.

"A very nice place to walk around, there is different paths to take and enjoy the scenery!

I have been there twice, fall and summer. I brought my dogs last weekend to walk on a sunny day. Make sure they are on a leash, and clean after them!

The park itself is free access but only the parking that you need to pay, i paid something like $7-8 for two hours.

I love love this park. really. Go visit!"

"Beautiful trails to walk through. Very well organized with maps at every junctions. Paths are large and well maintained. Great place to relax, take the kids to explore, go for a bike ride...

You can picnic at the chalet and they have restrooms. They also offer snacks at the chalet.

My only complaint is the interactive displays are all in French only. This has no impact on me, but I'm more concerned for visitors/tourists."

D Pineault

"I loved everything about this nature park.

I loved that every couple of meters, there are signs to show you where you are on the map. You're allowed your dogs LEASHED. There are benches so you can rest or take some time to appreciate the area. There are ponds and little lookouts. If you go all the way to the end of the trail, you can see the river. There are also bathrooms and a little picnic area so you can stop and have lunch if you're planning on spending some time at the park.

Very well taken care of."
