Reviews Summary
Sommet Avila offers a mixed bag of experiences, particularly for tubing, where wait times can be a significant issue for some, leading to disappointment. However, many praise its family-friendly atmosphere, beginner ski slopes, and the unique 'Odyssée du Viking' ride. The on-site amenities like parking and food, especially the poutine, are generally well-received.
"Very nice place, plenty of parking, decent hills, cafeteria, restaurant, equipment rental.
There are different levels of slopes, very motivating and nice staff, speaking English and French, very helpful. We enjoyed bunny hill for the beginning but after two week can ski on advanced slopes. Really nice place and comfortable for beginners.
Mountain is open until 10 pm we are definitely returning and trying evening skiing. Very exciting!!!"

"Super long line to wait for tubing, 1 ride 1 hour to wait. This is unacceptable for the price!!! Very disappointing 1st time. Never come back!
Elevator did not work properly!
Line on top of the mountain to slide even bigger. Super disappointing.
Zero organization on top of the hill, each line can allow to go down every 15-20 seconds, but assistants do not organize and prepare people to slide. And it takes about a minute instead. Wirlth that line its too long"

"Usually there will be less people waiting for the express lift than the main mountain Saint-Sauveur. And the green piste Jack Rabbit is easier than the Red bird or the other right piste in MSS too.
Meanwhile there are 2 kid snow park and kids cable to the green piste Babalu for the real beginner.
Personally Avila is much more kids friendly than the main mountain."
