We are frequent visitors to Port Dover- we have been coming to this cute little waterfront beach town for decades and often – at least 4 times a year. However, in all of those visits – we have never been to the Port Dover Marine Museum, but always said we should. We (Roguetrippers) love visiting small-town local history museums, so it was unfair that we hadn’t been to this one yet.
So… we finally went in.
This is a nice little museum, dedicated to the Maritime history of the area.
If you love nautical history, shipwreck tales, and all things Great Lakes, the Port Dover Marine Museum is an absolute must-visit! This cozy waterfront museum is packed with fascinating artifacts, historic photographs, and incredible stories that bring Ontario’s maritime past to life. From legendary ship captains to the town’s rich fishing heritage, every exhibit here feels personal and immersive.
Whether you’re a history buff, a boat lover, or just looking for a unique stop on your Lake Erie adventure, this little museum has plenty of treasures to uncover!
