Reviews Summary

Six Mile Lake Provincial Park is praised for its beautiful lake, ideal for kayaking and boating, and its convenient location. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff, well-stocked park store, and dog-friendly beach. However, the proximity to Highway 400 results in noticeable noise, and some campsites may lack privacy.

"This is a great recreational provincial park with lots of activities. The park is on the smaller side, relatively speaking; but, there are plenty of trails and beaches, including a dog beach. Kayaks, canoes pedal boats and even fishing equipment are available for rent. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I would highly recommend getting a lakefront site. The view from our site was stunning; it really made our experience all the more enjoyable. The lake itself is calm and beautiful; perfect for kayaking/canoeing. This was probably the best kayaking experience I've had at a provincial park yet!

The only negative about this park is that it's located very close to the highway, as such, there's a fair amount of noise, especially at night. It's a small price to pay for an otherwise wonderful experience!"

"Although I didn't have the opportunity to camp here just yet it was a great experience visiting the park. Site privacy was lacking from my small walkaround. The Park store is adorable. Parking was limited on the beach areas which is mostly my fault for showing up at 11am in hopes in kayaking at such nice beaches for swimming on a gorgeous day. Trails were fun which I did partake in those. Not too lengthy but enough a challenge to get the heart rate up a bit! Will return to kayak for sure!"

"Beautiful park. We came here for a hike while staying and close by awenda provincial park. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The park store was awesome and fully stocked. The trail we did started out just walking through campsites on the road but as soon as we hit the woods it was so beautiful. The trail was about 5km and took just over an hour. There are lots of great spots for pictures. To enter the park for day they charge you by car it's $18 which is a fantastic price for a full day. They had a few beaches and the lake looked amazing. Will be booking a walk in campsite here next year."
