North Beach Provincial Park is a family favourite and highly underrated in my books! People travel from far and wide to visit Sandbanks and I get it! Great beach! But.... is it the ONLY beach in Prince Edward County worth traveling for? No! Here's why we love North Beach: 🌊Small and easy to navigate. 🌊Parking to beach walk is manageable with all your gear. 🌊Access to two bodies of water. 🌊Bay si...

When you love blue water so much you drive for 6 hrs to see Lake Ontario. No editing done so you can see the true colour. 😍 North Beach Provincial Park is a beautiful beach that is less busy than Sandbanks but still busy enough that they were turning away folks without a reservation by 11am. There really isn't anything else to do here than beaching. No trails to check out or light house or anyt...

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise North Beach Provincial Park for its beautiful, clear turquoise waters and soft sandy beaches, often comparing it favorably to more crowded alternatives. The convenient parking and pleasant breeze are also highlights. However, some find the washrooms to be basic, and the lack of natural shade requires visitors to come prepared.

"I went many times never get disappointed except park staffs. Parking and beach is closer. No need to walk far. Sandy beach. Water is warm and clean during summer. There’s a dog friendly beach on other side. Pets not allowed at main beach area. No alcohol. Washroom is nasty! Not flush washroom. Parking $21 per vehicle. Reservation required. Weekends have to book two days before otherwise hard to get booking. Staffs are so bad. No understandings and rude."

"I think you can easily call North Beach Provincial Park a “Sandbanks Provincical Park Knock-Off”. There are two main areas you could visit. The first is the main beach area. The main beach area has 4 different areas for parking, each divided by big sand dunes (cool!). The beach starts a bit rocky but as you get closer to the water it is mostly soft sand. Virtually no bugs which was nice. However there are seagulls. Lots of seagulls. If you feed one, they all will flock to you. The other area you can go is a smaller marsh area. We saw swans. It’s a relatively small park but nice never the less. The only negative aspect is that there is little to no shade so you need to bring a tent/shelter or umbrella to make your own."

Taylor Fernandes

"Great beach with good parking along the route. Beach is a bit rocky, but offers a small strip of sand to chill or play volleyball on. Overall a great location. Sun sets to the west in the evening so you can watch it easily and beach closes at 8pm.

Been to this location a few times. Seems to always have a good breeze in the summer months and can be a touch chilly in the evenings closer to late summer and fall. Breeze also makes for some good waves. If you’re into the sound of waves crashing on the beach I highly recommend it."
