What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Sandbanks' stunning sandy beaches and the unique, vast freshwater dune system, calling it one of Canada's most beautiful spots. The spacious campsites and family-friendly atmosphere are frequently praised. However, some note the intense sun exposure due to limited shade and occasional cleanliness issues in washroom facilities.
"Campsites are very generously sized, we could have easily parked three 22' trailers on our site (803). Most sites are nice and level with a U-pull through making camp setup a breeze. Roads are nicely paved, and it's a 5-10 minute walk to the Dunes beach.
With minimal tree cover the sites can be very sunny (bring shade, and a set up your rig with shade in mind). But there was a constant vigorous cool breeze keeping the site cool."
D. Weir
"Great campground, we arrived on Friday afternoon and found our site easily ( just follow the signs). Our site wasn't a drive through but large enough to be able to navigate and place our trailer easily. Each site has a picnic table, and fire pit for your use. The ground for the trailer is gravel with plenty of grass area and a tree for partial shade. The washrooms and shower facilities are well situated to all of the sites.
Very nice and family friendly."
Jeannie Holland
"It's a perfect campground for family!
The sand was soft and the water was clean. The shower booth was clean and hot water too.
I highly recommend you to visit there."
