What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Canada Post services, including those at the Prince Edward Building, receive mixed reviews. While some customers report smooth experiences, many express significant frustration with lost packages, late deliveries, and unreliable tracking. Customer service is also a common point of contention, with users often finding it unhelpful.
"Canada Post is an absolute disgrace of a service. Their incompetence is beyond infuriating — it’s a pathetic joke to call this a “postal service.” Packages vanish into thin air, deliveries are consistently late, and when you try to get help, the customer service is a nightmare of robotic, useless replies. It feels like they couldn’t care less about customers.
The tracking system is a complete sham — misleading, broken, and utterly worthless. I’ve had items marked “delivered” that never showed up, and others stuck in limbo for weeks without explanation. When you finally reach someone, they act like your frustration is your problem, not theirs.
It’s insulting that we’re forced to rely on this garbage excuse for a delivery system in a country as developed as Canada. Canada Post is nothing but a black hole for time, money, and sanity. If I could give zero stars, I would."

"Stop Scanning Packages to be delivered to the post office or its intended destination the night before, when in reality it wont be delivered to its destination until the next business day. Ex: scan: 6:27pm on a friday: "Item in transit to the post office". Its making customers think that its going to the post office right away. but I know for a fact that it sits in the truck until the next business day. Hire more people casually to get the job done and/or don't lead customers with false sense of security scans IE Future scans."

"With the exception of twice where it said my parcel arrived in Regina the day or Friday before it should have been delivered and was delivered the day after it should have been, I've never had a problem with them. Even when there's been different postal workers filling in for the main delivery guy, things went pretty much smoothly."

Understanding Canada Post Service Issues
Customer service is another area that draws frequent complaints. Reports suggest that interactions can be unhelpful, with automated responses and a perceived lack of empathy for customer issues. This creates a cycle of frustration for those trying to resolve delivery problems or inquire about missing items. The sentiment among some users is that the service has declined significantly, impacting the trust placed in it.
Despite these challenges, some customers report positive experiences, noting that their deliveries are generally smooth and that postal workers are efficient. However, the prevalence of negative feedback suggests that inconsistencies in service are a significant concern for a substantial portion of the user base.
Navigating Mail Drop Boxes
Finding these boxes can sometimes require local knowledge. For instance, in the Cathedral area, users have identified boxes in front of businesses like Brand's, and at intersections such as College and Montague. It's advisable to check the Canada Post website or local community forums for the most current locations if you're unsure.
These drop boxes are a straightforward way to send letters and small packages, eliminating the need to wait in line at a post office. They are regularly serviced, ensuring your mail makes its way through the postal system.
