Book Ahead for Summer Fun

Summer is prime time at Williamson Lake Park and Beach, but campsites fill up fast! Book your spot well in advance, especially if you have a larger RV. Some sites have limited shade and privacy, so consider your needs when choosing.

Site Selection Matters

While amenities like clean washrooms and showers are a plus, site size and definition can be tricky. Smaller RVs might find some spots tight, and tent sites can be sloped or cramped. Check reviews or arrive early to pick the best spot for your setup.

Reviews Summary

Williamson Lake Park and Beach is a well-loved campground with excellent amenities like clean washrooms and a pleasant beach. While many enjoy the convenience and family-friendly activities, some visitors find site definitions challenging for larger vehicles and note limited shade or privacy in certain areas.

"Just got home from a week and this place was the best option to call home away from home and explore the area. You could spend all day right there. Clean washrooms and showers, dishwashing sinks, no dangerous wildlife nearby to tent and feel safe, and with the beach and mini golf plenty to do. Even a laundry after all the humid days to refresh clothes. 1 star missing for me because I needed to get ice in town on hot days and my middle beachside site had no shade at all or privacy as they are parking lot close. (I chose that for the bear safety anyways) But had a great time and friendly staff. Want to come back for sure. Albertan single mom and her preteens had a blast for summer vacation. Thanks!"

"Pleasantly surprised by this city owned campground. FHU sites that are clean with privacy walls, picnic tables, and firepits. Nice setting on a lake with grassy area, playground, picnic area and miniature golf. Close to town. Laundry and VERY clean bathrooms and showers. The outside sites are not very deep therefore if you have a trailer or motorhome greater than approximately 20 feet you may not be able to fit in some of them...our trailer is 22 feet and we had to unhitch so we did not stick out too far. However, the pull thru middle sites are long and could probably accommodate big rigs/trailers. We would definitely stay here again."

Rich Jansen

"Such a disappointment. While the new showers and bathrooms are lovely, the sites are not well defined and that makes it challenging to park RVs and trucks without getting into the way of a neighbor. There are sites occupied by people living in their vans, tents or cab over campers full-time at the campground. The laundry room has just two washers and dryers, constantly in use (I had to drive wet sheets into the local laundromat to dry). I would not return."
