"Good from far but far from good.
From the outside from afar, the resort looks high end and attractive but the rooms, carpet flooring, and bathroom all are old and dilapidated. If I knew there was would and mildew in the bathrooms, I would have never booked.
The hotel policies have really grabbed onto the deceptive policies of Vegas - but they forgot they are no Vegas. Booking a room at regular rates? You'll get a suite next to the noisy ice maker, overlooking garbage and hearing street traffic. Got a complaint about it and want to be relocated? No problem, how about an upgrade for a fee worth almost twice as much as your original price for a quite suite that overlooks the water.
If you're looking for a place to gamble and be close to where you're going donate all your travel money, this is the place. If you're looking for a decent hotel, book somewhere else.
Staff is misinformed about alot of things and enjoy citing facts that aren't true, like 'we're the largest casino in Canada' - believing Google doesn't exist there to fact check.
All in all, if everything else in Richmond was completely booked up and they were the only hotel left, I would rebook again but the whole experience there was a memorable one that wasn't in a good way."

"We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing for what is advertised as a 4-star property.
Despite requesting in advance to have our families placed on the same floor for accessibility and support reasons, the hotel placed us in completely separate towers. This made coordinating care and assistance for our kids unnecessarily stressful and difficult.
One of the rooms even had cigarette butts left on the patio upon arrival, which was unacceptable for both cleanliness and safety. On top of that, one of the towers had only a single working elevator, which resulted in extremely long waits just to get in and out of the room — a major problem for families with children who have needs and sensory challenges.
The service was just as disappointing. The manager promised to call and email with follow-up, but never did. When we raised concerns, the only compensation offered was to waive the $28 resort fee — a token gesture considering the nightly rate was over $400.
For a property that promotes itself as a higher-end, family-friendly hotel, this stay fell far short. We expected better accessibility, cleaner accommodations, and management that genuinely cared about addressing our concerns. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel to other families, especially those traveling with kids who have special needs."

"Wife and I stayed here for 4 days. Its right next to the trains so making your way around is cheap and convenient. Casino staff were fun and cheerful, buffet and restaurant staff were attentive and accommodating. Pool was clean, night market across the street as well. Overall would highly recommend river rock. Thank you for a wonderful experience!"
