What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking views from Pic Champlain Lookout, calling the challenging 5km hike well worth the effort. The trail's steepness and abundant tree roots are noted, but the summit's sheltered lookout and the fact that it's dog-friendly are significant draws. Some find the descent via the service road tough on the knees.
"The hike is up, up, and more up. The trail itself is in good shape but tree roots are abundant and can trip you up. Once to the top their is a lookout which is sheltered if the weather is bad. An outhouse privy is close to the top also. We cheated on our way back down and took the gravel service road which in itself is a workout on your knees going down. This is the only trail within Bic Park that allows dogs."
