What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The South End is lauded for its stunning Victorian brownstone architecture and vibrant, diverse dining scene. Visitors appreciate the unique shopping opportunities, especially the excellent consignment stores. However, some find parking challenging and prices, particularly at convenience stores, can be high.
"Oh, South End Convenience! From the second you walk in, it feels like you’ve time-traveled to the '90s. George has stabbed, fought, shot—you name it! Yet he still stands strong, like a cockroach that survived a nuclear apocalypse. Sometimes you’ll hear him strumming away those empty bottle country songs, dozing off like he’s auditioning for a nap competition. But the man works dust to dawn! I swear, he punches those numbers in like he’s trying to break a world record. Makes ya realize yesterday's price is not today’s price—it's like he’s got a crystal ball that only shows inflation! George is truly a legend in the South End, and if you don’t believe me, just ask him after he wakes up!"

"Coffee available hot and fresh, different flavours too ;). Cheap and close by , friendly staff. One of two stores left in the south end area. About 3 blocks apart, both run by nice people"

"South End Convience has by far some of the best prices in the city. The staff are great and the service is absolutely amazing.
This store has a huge variable of products and services. The produce is always fresh. They also have an ATM machine and public restrooms that are extremely clean.
" Mondays" they offer free coffee; No purchase necessary. I encourage anybody looking for for a great Convience store to shop here.
By far the best convenient store in the lower end of Saint John. I have to give this place a 5* rating!
