What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Broadway Bridge for its scenic river views, especially at night, and its role as a vital city connector. While the pedestrian and bike lanes are appreciated, some find them narrow during peak times. The bridge is also a focal point for community events and fireworks displays.
"The Broadway Bridge is a great bridge for many things in Saskatoon. It is used for everything from vehicles traffic going both directions to a pedestrian walkway on both sides of traffic that is also available to cyclists and runners and more to get to the other side of the river. The walkway is not one of the widest but can still pass people going the same direction as you on either side but be respectful when passing others. This bridge connects to Rotary Park and Broadway Avenue on one side and on the other it connects to downtown,Spadina Crescent and Kiwanis Park. The bridge is shut down a couple times a year for events such as the Canada Day fireworks and the September long weekend fireworks shows due to the fireworks being shot off the bridge. You can also get great photos of this bridge from either side as one side looks towards downtown and the University Bridge and the other looks towards the Traffic Bridge and River Landing I cross the bridge regularly usually either walking or by bike."
