"This was a lovely park to visit while we were in Stratford. We actually thought we were in the Shakespearean Gardens, but then realized that was a separate park west of this one. It is a great place to sit down on a bench and read a book or take a stroll along the path that lined the river. It was so beautiful and peaceful here, despite the fact that it was so close to the busy part of town. The memorial monument honoring those who died in the two World Wars was riveting and consisted of two bronze figures representing strength and sorrow ... the power of war and the grief and loss that follows. The grounds were well manicured with colourful flowers and lots of old trees. Not sure how far east the path went as we did not walk it all, but we still enjoyed our short visit there. 😊👍💜"

"Simple, peaceful, serenity, calming and that’s fine.
Not a big park but being in far less busy city makes it less crowded. Nice strip of trail with benches for beautiful view. Little dirty at some places due to lot birds moving around. Also don’t mind paying parking charges around area and no street parking."
