What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Summerland's waterfront amenities, particularly the spacious dog park and the large, often uncrowded splash pad. The scenic boardwalk and marsh walk are also highly praised for their natural beauty and wildlife viewing opportunities. While the beaches offer a mix of sand and pebbles, the overall experience is considered excellent for families and pet owners.
"Love the fenced off leash dog park, we come here almost everyday to exercise and socialize our dogs. Big enough to throw ball and frisbee safely without getting in the way of other dog owners. Great shade and tables to rest and socialize at. Before the dog park was opened, this field was unused and full of nothing but goose droppings and often used by boaters for parking their trailers. Since the dog park the place is active, loved, and enjoyed by many!"

"Beautiful park. Lots of parking. Sandy beach with pebbles. Water has mixture of a Sandy bottom or rocky bottom. Few clams. Really big splash pad that was fairly empty even on a hot Friday afternoon. Lots of picnic tables and benches. Lots of shade. Bathrooms. Playground. Everything you need and more for a family beach day."

"Beautiful boardwalk! They have a great kids park. The lake views are wonderful as you walk right along it. Then you walk through a marsh with different plants and wildlife and birds."
