What are your favourite Surrey summer spots?
Hi all! I recently moved to Surrey from the tricities. I'm living in Newton (Sullivan area) and love the neighbourhood, but I miss the spots on the river/lake/beach that I used to go to before I moved. Surrey is so big and full of green space I'm hoping there must be some…

South Surrey/White Rock recommendations?
I recently moved to South Surrey and I don't know many people here. I'm going through a tough time mentally and financially and my therapist recommended that I go outside more and do activities. I don't know what acrivities to do or places to go. I don't drive but I'd like to go…
Surrey staff say hundreds of Crescent Beach parking spots ‘illegally reserved’
Is there a reason why they don't make the Blackie Spit [parking lot](https://maps.app.goo.gl/qKdVSKJpFbEDpWBu7) a bit bigger? I get there would be a loss of some green space but that parking lot is such a gong show in the summer and must have an effect on street parking…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Blackie Spit Park is cherished for its peaceful atmosphere, abundant bird life, and unique off-leash dog beach. Visitors appreciate the beautiful ocean views and opportunities for leisurely walks. However, parking can be a significant challenge on busy days, and the silty beach terrain might not appeal to everyone.
"Peaceful and quiet place to visit. I lived in Vancouver for over 20 years but it's my first time to visit Blackie Spit. It's a great place for walking with family. There is a dog swimming area where I found it very unique. There are some restaurants and bakery nearby, where I highly recommend people to visit as well. Search for Google review is always a good idea. This is how I found this place as well."

"Nice place for stroll. Or day at beach if you get there early on a nice day. Tidal beach, so silty more than sandy. Parking is a nightmare when busy. Someone blocked us in yesterday, was an hour to get out. Dog friendly beach just before spit area. Spit is wildlife/bird protected and nesting area. So no kites, no drones or dogs."

"Beautiful ocean location. Very busy but very pleasant. Everyone is polite and everyone has dog etiquette. There is an off leash area which is quite a good size. An under cover area if it rains. Lots of beach access and different terrain. Benches to chill and enjoy the view. Come sit and watch all the different dogs and their owners go by. Dip your feet in the ocean or just post up and have and insta photo shoot."
