【Sullivan Excursion at Fraser Valley Heritage Railway】 It's an hour train ride and you get to ride the sister train of the one at Steveston Tram. These trains used to run between downtown Vancouver to Chilliwack😳 Apparently they used to go approximately 80km/hour😮 I wish they kept them🥲 リッチモンド・スティーブストンに展示されてある路面電車と同じ電車に乗ることができます🤩昔はバンクーバーのダウンタウンからチロワックまで通っていた鉄道らしく、時速80キロほどで走っていたそうです😳残しておいてほしかったー...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway for its authentic historical experience and the dedication of its volunteers. The train rides are described as memorable and educational, offering a unique glimpse into BC's past. While some minor seating arrangements on the train were noted as awkward by a solo traveler, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the value of preserving such heritage. Reddit

"We visited the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway during our holiday in Vancouver, Canada, coming all the way from the Czech Republic. This was a must-see for us, especially because my girlfriend drives trams back home and is a true railway enthusiast.

Before our visit, we contacted the volunteers via the website and received very kind and informative replies. We chose Sunday, 24 August 2025, to experience the 55-minute Sullivan Excursion Interurban ride, which only runs on Sundays. We were both so excited that we arrived at the station more than two hours early. In the meantime, we enjoyed a lovely concert by Sue Breton (a wonderful singer) and had some pleasant conversations with the local volunteers. One of them even took us behind the scenes and showed us the interior of the exhibition – that was just fantastic.

Finally, it was time for the Interurban ride itself – an incredible and truly unforgettable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and we must say that the hospitality and friendliness of all volunteers and organisers towards us as foreign visitors was remarkable. We are deeply grateful for everything you did to make our experience so special, and we have great admiration for all the hard work you put into preserving and restoring such treasures. Hats off to you!

The photos and videos we took will certainly be shared within the Czech tram-driving community, and we will recommend Fraser Valley Heritage Railway to everyone."

"Love that places like this are around to preserve our history. The old interurban line is such a beautiful and rich part of our Provinces past and hopefully one that, thanks to the many volunteers here, is never forgotten. Museum is has some wonderful old system maps, pictures and artifacts. Truly worthy of a visit. Definitely book tickets in advance and plan your day around here."

"We went yesterday and the experience was great! The staff who take their precious time to volunteer there are awesome! Though i didn’t like the way they asked us to stand up so they could switch the seats making us face others. This seemed awkward because i travelled solo and now i was facing strangers and worst part of all i had to tuck my knees in between a stranger i don’t know because there was no space. In situations like this i suggest let the riders decide if they like to face the other person or party or group. Overall the experience was not bad and
lots of historic items indoor to purchase at a reasonable rate."
