What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Balmoral Grist Mill Museum as a beautiful piece of Nova Scotian history, highlighting the fascinating engineering and knowledgeable staff. The scenic river setting and walking trails are also frequently mentioned as enjoyable aspects. Some note that interior tours are seasonal and one picnic area could use some upkeep.
"This is a beautiful piece of Nova Scotian history. Very interesting to go inside and see the clever old school engineering. However, since the option to tour the inside of the Balmoral Grist Mill is seasonal, I'd recommend checking ahead of time. It is also a great spot to spend time enjoying the outdoors. The downside is one of the park's picnic areas is getting a little overgrown."

"Gorgeous spot I accidentally found on my way to Drysdale Falls. Tucked into the woods on a picturesque dirt road and settled upon a beautiful quiet river stands this beautiful mill. There are two roads and two entrances to get here. One side is great for people who need an accessible entrance. The main road (with the large sign at the road is the road that leads to the entrance with quite a flight of stairs. And a little bridge leading to the mill. There is a lovely little walking trail that goes along the river as well. I highly recommend stopping in here if you are out for a roadtrip."
