Reviews Summary
Tofino Harbour offers stunning natural beauty and wildlife viewing opportunities, with dining and unique experiences like floating saunas being highlights. However, some visitors report significant issues with harbour organization, moorage availability, and customer service, leading to frustration despite the picturesque setting.
"We moored here out of necessity. The harbor master was never available.
Although we were able to tie to a dock, there was only 20 amp power available. Unknown water source with disconcerting water treatment system at fish cleaning station led us to forego filling water tanks. There is a tremendous amount of algae shoaled against dock fouling our vessel and dinghy.
Understandably there's a limited amount of moorage in Tofino. The exorbitant charges don't reflect the quality of service."

"Beautiful place. The lack of dock space can be pretty annoying. If you have an aluminum boat it's better.
Boats can be rafted 3 deep on the public docks with big wakes slamming them all around."

"Literally the most unprofessional and unorganized harbour I have ever been to. There is barely any room to turn around, nowhere to park your boat, and a complete lack of organization. I came to launch my boat and arrived to the office to pay the fee where a gentlemen was on the phone for 20 minutes. Finally another co-worker came to assist me and told me that i would have to disconnect my trailer from my truck and park them separately. I paid the man the money, Launched my boat, parked my trailer, parked my truck, and finally got ready to head out. Right as i'm about to leave another gentlemen comes up to me and starts yelling at me in a Rude condescending tone "Hey you can't park there". I explained that your coworker just instructed me to do so. He replied "I don't care what he said, he doesn't work here". I asked him why he was in the office taking my money and instructing me where to park if he does not work there. I also mentioned that I shouldnt have to be loosing time re-parking all the vehicles considering I was told to park here. The man literally screamed "I AM THE HARBOUR MASTER, YOU WILL DO AS I SAY". And then threatened that he was going to tow my truck and trailer. Needless to say I felt very disappointed that I was treated this way. I don't know what the hell this guys problem is or what sort of issues hes having but he certainly won't be taking it out on me anymore. I do not recommend this boat launch and the gentlemen who works here needs to be re-trained as he clearly has some sort of ego issues."
