What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise 6ix Pickle for its clean, modern facilities, premium court floors, and the innovative technology like built-in score trackers and instant replays. The 24/7 access and included equipment are major conveniences. However, some competitive players find the court dimensions a bit tight, and specific lighting issues on one court have been noted.
"I played in a tournament here over the weekend and wanted to share my feedback on the facilities and courts.
Facilities & Amenities:
The overall facilities are quite good. The reception area is reasonable and includes a helpful snack bar. I was pleased to find the change rooms and washrooms were very neat and well-maintained.
Parking Note (Important):
Parking is a significant point to be aware of. There are only a few spots directly upfront, and street parking is strictly limited to 1 hour nearby. For longer visits, you will need to either drive further down the street for 3-hour parking or use the paid lot behind the nearby Staples, which offered a $10 flat rate on the weekend until 6 PM when I visited.
The Courts (Tournament/Competitive Play):
The club has 4 courts, but there are some design issues for competitive play:
The space behind the serve line is tight, which can be an issue when serving and playing aggressively.
The sideline space is quite narrow, making it difficult to execute an OTP or handle balls hit wide.
Specifically, Court 2 had bad lighting right in the middle, which made it challenging to track the ball clearly when playing near the kitchen.
Overall Summary:
Pickleball Club 6ix is a good place to play and practice, especially given the clean facilities and good overall atmosphere. However, due to the tight court dimensions and the lighting issue on Court 2, it is probably not the best venue for competitive tournaments."
