What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests find the Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites to be a solid choice for its price, offering good value with amenities like a unique indoor pool and sauna. While some rooms could benefit from updates, the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and convenient location are frequently praised. It's a practical option for those seeking essential comforts and a pleasant stay without a luxury price tag.
"We checked in for a cozy daytime stay. Yes, it’s an older hotel but definitely makes up for it with the amenities, location and spaciousness of this place - love the pool with glass dome ceiling and the traditional dry sauna. Our room was a nice temp, comfortable and sound-proofed. Bed was comfortable with nice pillows and hotel-quality sheets. Decent toiletries (vanilla-scented!) and good water pressure although I wish the water was a bit hotter. Overall, this is a pretty solid hotel for the price. Look forward to staying for the night next time! 💕"

"Second time staying here in a month and it’s been really nice both times. Room service isn’t available but thankfully there’s lots of options for delivery near by and a little convenience store with everything you could need in the lobby. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfy, especially nice being reasonably priced for 2 beds this close to main toronto area. Definitely my go to hotel when i’m in toronto :)"

"Rooms badly need updating. The bed was small, hard and uncomfortable, pillows lumpy, and the a/c so loud and rattling that it woke me up every time it re-engaged. Everything we put in the mini-fridge came out frozen solid, even though we tried adjusting the temperature when we first discovered it. HOWEVER, the room was spotless and the linens were nice. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful, especially the maids. Pool area and common areas are lovely and well kept. The location is convenient - outside of downtown but close enough to get there easily. Ample parking that was included in our room rate. We didn't try the restaurant but it looked nice. Found it annoying that the little cabana at the pool had coffee and tea for sale but no water. Also, there were signs advertising the pool open until 10pm in summer but it was closed when we tried to go at 8:45pm.
Update the beds, fridge and a/c and I would give the rooms 5 stars. Not luxury but very good value for money."
