What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Toronto Humane Society for its compassionate staff and efficient adoption process, leading to many happy 'gotcha days.' The affordability of their veterinary services is also a significant plus for the community. While some find the clinic experience rushed, the overall dedication to animal welfare shines through.
"We have appreciated the Toronto Humane Society for many years. In the past, the institution supported us greatly with the care of our senior cats, and their compassion and professionalism always stood out. This time, we returned with a different and very special purpose: adopting a new daughter.
We were fortunate enough to meet Boppy, a lovely six-month-old kitten who had arrived just the day before our visit. From the moment we met her, we completely fell in love with this little angel. The adoption process was smooth, efficient, and extremely well organized, clearly reflecting the care and dedication of the staff.
Everyone we interacted with was kind and professional, and we would especially like to thank John and Chelsea for their attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine care throughout the process. They made the experience both easy and reassuring.
Now, two days after Boppy came home with us, we are even more grateful for this opportunity. Our hearts are full, and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you, Toronto Humane Society, for everything you do and for helping us welcome such a wonderful new member into our family."

"I am so surprised and happy with the service. For my first time ever of owning my own cat the adoption process was easy, fast , and amazing. My now cat Frank Jr was very happy to be in a new home and it took him 5 min to acclimate and then he was ready to explore my entire room. To the staff memberswho helped me and my girlfriend adopt Frankie Jr I leave you this: thank you so much for helping us adopt Frank Jr we are very happy with him and your service I hope you have a great life. Best regards."

"They are super kind, patient and understanding. The adoption process was seamless. They do a lot to make sure that your new friend will be taken care of beyond at the shelter. They make you go through a vetting process to make sure you’ll be a good fit and that’s something I appreciate a lot. They also microchip, neuter and give your next best friend a health checkup to make sure it’s healthy. Definitely recommend stopping by if you have room in your home and heart for a furry companion. Adopt, don’t shop."
