What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Uplands Park's natural beauty, especially its scenic waterfront trails and unique native flora like Garry Oak trees. It's a highly recommended spot for dog walkers and those seeking a peaceful escape into nature, though the muddy trails in winter require proper footwear.
"I go here all the time, It is such a beautiful walk with little hills and Moss And dogs everywhere.
It gets extremely muddy on parts of the trail (If you enter on the top left trail, it got pretty muddy through December and January until the mud froze a bit) so unless you're wearing boots that go up your calf, you're probably not going to be walking through that area because it's that much mud.
Probably the best place to walk your dogs!! Off leash at least!! There's lots of room so if someone is walking on lace you can avoid them pretty well, And it's very dog friendly except for certain parts of the Year! (I believe it's April, May, June)"

"So I had time to kill in area and found this park. I wasn't disappointed. Parked at the start of the one way loop. This was good because you can go down to cattle point and enjoy the views. There is a boat launch. Two of them! While no permanent washroom facilities there was two out houses. One didn't have toilet paper. The other part of uplands park is the forest. While there isn't official paths except for the one on the south side. By the war memorial you can enter and walk these hidden paths. Very interesting as the vegetation of the area is definitely unique. Highly recommend to walk this park and enjoy all the terrains. I will have a video of my walk on y.t additionally where I parked you could access willow beach through some stairs!"

"Nice little waterfront park just jam-packed with Garry Oak trees. It’s a really nice bit of wilderness in the middle of the city. The park is largely undeveloped and, as such, is brimming local with plant and animal life. It’s a great place for a picnic or a stroll. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for a quiet place to be in nature."
