"Still with snow but you can still hike up the black mountains... but seems july would be a nicer period for hiking. The lakes are great.
Maybe it should be named as white mountains. It is not very spectacular at the summit."

"Good destination for both summer and winter. About 5k a loop. Family friendly with medium intensity level. The view is nice but a bit obstructed. You can go on for another 1.5k to the eagle bluff for a better view."

"To hike on this trail, you will first need to go to the Black Mountain Lodge to pick up a Back Country Access Day Pass. It was self served.
Then you start the hiking by the Eagle Express Chair Lift. Follow the "BC Parks BAC" green sign. The trail was clearly marked with red poles. Steep uphill for the first 45-60 mins. Snow was hard packed on Apr 4, 2021. Microspikes is sufficient. Some section is a bit slushy. Still feel slippery with the microspikes. But all are manageable.
The loop up top has some flat places and decent view. We have our lunch there. Coming down is quick but put quite a bit pressure on your keen due to the steepness.
Parking was not an issue at all when we arrived Cypress at 10:08am"
