What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Whistler Village rental shops for their exceptional customer service, particularly for ski boot fitting. Staff are often commended for their expertise, patience, and genuine desire to ensure customers have the right gear for a great experience. However, a significant negative experience involved improperly assembled rental equipment, which unfortunately ruined a ski day for one visitor.
"Ruined my ski day. Demo’d skis. Bindings never properly attached. I only found out at top of gondola, before ever putting skis on. Nice people, but if you cannot safely assemble rental equipment your store should not be in operation. The sport has inherent risks, you don’t need tech incompetence adding to it. Not one star because they helped fix the binding when I came to the shop and I was able to get me back out on the slopes. Still, I spent wasted hours of the day waiting in lift lines, riding up and down the gondola, and in the shop getting this resolved before I could get out and ski."

"Phenomenal shop! I had a weird request to cut down some ski poles during bike season and they were so accommodating and willing to help. Biggest thanks to all the staff for their expertise and assistance. 10/10 customer service!!!"

"My rental boots were giving me ankle pain and I went to almost every shop in the Whistler village. Chris at Evo was hands down the most knowledgeable, the kindest, and was willing to listen to every question, comment and concern I had about boots. His mission was clearly focused on getting me the right equipment versus making a sale. He fitted me right away and they didn’t have a ton of inventory for my size and volume. We actually left to go to other stores and came back to work with Chris. If you are in Whistler and need anything for gear these are your guys!!"
