"Beautiful centre alongside the Yukon River. Met a gentleman inside who was related to many of the individuals in photos on display and he was able to recount many stories of the times. Same gentleman started learning his ancestral language at age 60 . Wonderful place to visit and learn."

"Beautiful artifacts and history in the building. Well worth the visit!"

"As we visited on a Sunday, there were almost no people in the building. A kind employee, however, opened up the gallery for us, where we were able to see a great exhibit on modern Indigenous fashion. We also strolled in the centre's main hallway, where information panels and exhibits described the history of local First Nations. The next time I am in Whitehorse, I will aim to come during the week so I can learn more about the Kwanlin Dün First Nation."

📸 📸 Photography Tips
The best times for photography are during daylight hours. Early morning and late afternoon offer softer light and fewer shadows, enhancing the colors and details of the murals.
To capture murals with people, try to find angles that incorporate both the art and the subject naturally. Consider the background and lighting to ensure the mural remains a prominent feature.
Many murals are highly photogenic! Look for those with vibrant colors, intricate details, or those set against interesting backdrops like the Yukon River or historic buildings.
Use a moderate aperture (f/5.6-f/8) for good depth of field. Adjust ISO as needed for lighting conditions, and ensure your white balance is set correctly for natural colors.
Stand directly in front of the mural and use a wider-angle lens if possible. If you're close, try to shoot from a slightly elevated position or use perspective correction tools in editing software.
