Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada, calling it 'Heavens on Earth' for aviation lovers and a 'world-class' facility. The interactive exhibits, historical aircraft, and friendly, knowledgeable staff are frequently highlighted as major draws. While some note the lack of on-site food and beverage services, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many recommending it for families and aviation enthusiasts alike. TikTokInstagramReddit

"Heavens on Earth 🌎 for those who loves study Aerodynamics Engineering and little bit of History of WW I - II . The marvelous design of this museum gives you ample space for a two storey building and a large hanger in front to explore the aircraft variety of early 70 - '80s time models. The fascinating journey of aircraft evolution is very much in detail to learn from their documentary room on the ground floor.

1. Online advance booking should be your preference to avoid long wait time.

2. If carrying luggage cause obviously it's located just in front of the airport access so check in with the front desk to acquire a key-coin lock for your luggage to place.
(I personally love 💕 their unique locking system).

3. If visiting with kids, don't forget to check their Snoopy special room. Your kids will love it and also the game zone next to the cafeteria.

4. Toddlers are allowed to sit in model helicopters and private seaplanes with guided instructors on the 2nd floor.

5. Adults can visit their ground model of Air Canada planes from the early era which definitely feels like time travel in the past to me.

6. Hands on experience at the wall of engineering to touch and feel the buttons, rims and lots more.

7. Cute little souvenir shop on your way to exit.

8. Entry and Exit gates are mobility accessible as well as fully functioned rest rooms to accommodate every needs.

So book your tickets and have a journey to infinity and beyond ❤️"

"Small but interesting museum adjacent to the Winnipeg airport. Covers the history of aviation in that part of Canada. Quite a few interesting aircraft on display. Museum staff, who seem to be mainly volunteers, we're all extremely helpful and friendly. Worth arriving a couple of hours early for your flight. Public bus from downtown Winnipeg stops outside the door. Make sure you get off at the stop after the Airport terminal; i.e. as the bus is heading back into the city. It's a short walk from the museum to the airport terminal through the car park. Recommended."

"We were asked to set-up our Mirror Photo Booth for a two day event put on by Safeway, IGA and Sobeys- from the minute we arrived the event staff were amazing. They were incredibly organized, helpful and friendly.
They went above and beyond to make our set-up easy on both days.
The venue is absolutely incredible- as a backdrop to any event I feel guests would be blown away!
They even had extremely friendly volunteers who are not only super friendly but incredibly knowledgeable. If they saw a guest looking at a plane they would approach asking if they wanted more information often sharing some amazing stories.
There are so many areas available to set-up different stations allowing for a super unique and almost romantic atmosphere.
I can not recommend having your event here- big or small they know how to do it!!"
