Bachelor's Beach is best enjoyed during low tide, offering a small sandy area for your belongings. Be mindful of the tricky descent down the stairs, especially if carrying gear. Parking is available but can be rocky.

Snorkeling vs. Swimming: Manage Expectations

While the crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming and spotting marine life, snorkeling here might be less rewarding than at other spots. Some visitors have reported seeing turtles and dolphins, but don't expect vibrant coral reefs.

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Bachelor's Beach for its beautiful, crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and its stunning sunset views. While snorkeling might be less impressive than other local spots, the chance to see marine life like turtles and the beginner-friendly dive site are significant draws. The limited sandy area and tricky stair descent are minor drawbacks.

"Beautiful waters! Definitely come during low tide so you have a small stretch of sand to walk / leave your sandals/towels. Be really careful climbing down the stairs. Not much to see snorkeling wise but great for swimming in the crystal clear waters! Saw dolphins in the distance!! Plenty of parking."

Mareesa Ahmad

"For scuba diving this dive sight is a great destination. The swim towards the dive sight is short and the water is always pretty clear. The descend from the parking lot to the water is a bit tricky but everyone always manages to do it. Other than that you will see a great variety of marine animals. And if you’re lucky you will also have the chance to spot a huge bait ball which is being hunted on by barricudas and jacks. Also a very beginner friendly dive sight."

Tom Brattinga

"Flanked by residential to both sides, this beach is good place to swim during high tide but nothing much to see during snorkeling. Nice white sand and blue water. Underwater has more vegetation. Parking lot is rocky. Te Amo beach is much better for snorkeling. Bachelor Beach seemed to be better for swimming."
