"The ladder is incredible. 477 steps from the top to the bottom. There are remains of a Customs house about a third of the way down which offers a great view of the Caribbean. The last couple of stairs are in disrepair, but you can still use them to get to the water.
It's amazing when you think that this was once the only way to get things from the sea to the town. It's definitely a must do adventure."

"A great hike! All stairs, so be prepared for some shaky legs! Since these steps are so old they are not evenly spaced, but they are all stable and easy to walk. Great views over ladder bay and of Diamond Rock. If you're lucky there will be a sandy beach at the bottom... but don't count on it! We love to go at sunset and hike back up in the dark."
