Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Hanga Roa Otai Harbor and Pea Beach for their stunning sunset views and the authentic glimpse into island life, particularly the fishermen's activities and visible marine life. While beautiful, it's noted as a scenic spot rather than a swimming destination, with a need for caution near the water.
"Beautiful place on the island! I love the sunset here in the summer, but more caution with the tourist, because it isn't a suitable area for baiting. I saw many accidents in the site."
Antonia Araya Gallegos
"A cove and small harbor at the end of the street of the town, it is the place fishermen mooring their boats. The tourist information center is just few minutes walk from the bay. There are some shops and diving station beside beside the pier. A pavilion and some benches are placed by the coast, and it provides a great view to the sea and dusk! In the night one can walk here to see stars above. It is one of the good places to see the lifestyle on the peaceful island!"
Matthew Su
"This is the main harbor in Hanga Roa and a favorite hang out spot. On any given day, you'll see tons of green turtles and porcupine fish hanging out in the clear water around the port. Great place to relax."
