Reviews Summary

The Mirador Base Torres hike is a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience, offering breathtaking views of iconic granite peaks. While the trek is long and demanding, especially the final ascent, most visitors find the effort worthwhile. The unpredictable Patagonian weather can impact visibility and comfort, making preparation crucial.

"I'm still giving this 5 stars, but this hike was fairly challenging due to the rain and snow at the top. Recommend leaving extremely early if you want a good view of the towers, because the day we went, it was extremely cloudy and snowy. It was freezing at the top and we were already soaked from the rain, and the last mile or so is particularly tumultuous. Still would recommend as the hike is beautiful, but I wish we would have gotten a better view of the torres."

Melanie Martinez

"The trek is quite long and difficult at the end. Both ways with some stops for food and drinks you will need a good 8 hours. But it is worth it. Beautiful views on the way. But it is often very windy, and temperature can change quickly, so make sure you wear layers of clothes to easily take them off and put them on again. Also be sure to bring something waterproof - fast changing weather can surprise you."

Piotr Kapuścik

"Wow what a hike! We started on the trial at 6am. We are so happy we did because when we got to the top, there was very few people. It’s a gnarly day hike of 13 miles and 4500 feet of elevation but we enjoyed every second of it. Took about 7 hours total with 30 min break at the top!"
