What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Fuerte La Planchada is a historic site with a beautiful beach, offering a pleasant family outing and vibrant local festivals. Visitors appreciate the easy access from Concepción and the scenic sunset views. However, many reviews point out the site's neglect, citing significant graffiti, litter, and structural damage, which detracts from its historical appeal.
"I went with my son from Concepcion, I took a bus in Las Heras street and it took 20 minutes, just ask the driver where its the best place to get off the bus and walk to the beach. The beach was clean, only some sea weed and dead crab were polluting the sand which is normal. There is an ice cream factory nearby that offers great variety of flavours for good value. There are other shops nearby, which sell sea food, refreshments and chips. The only negative: graffiti it's everywhere in the area. Positive: the bus back to Concepción is one street away, parallel to the beach."

"An excellent and very beautiful beach with parking and public restrooms available during opening hours."

"For a historic site, it's very poorly maintained by local people. They could do with some maintenance, or restrict access, since a wall overlooking the railway line was in a section without stones; a gap formed, and that's dangerous. There's also a lot of trash on two sides. People come to drink beer and leave trash."
