"In the top 3 places to visit in punts arenas.
Stunning.
Trees that convey movement as they stand a motionless guard.
Incredible monuments and mausoleums.
Beautiful layout.
A place for connection and introspection.
I only wish I had the commonly vibrant sunrise to light the place up."

"What a striking place to find oneself, tucked away in this most remote of landscapes. Here, the wool and meat trade thrived, richly lining the pockets of landowners who left behind extravagant mausoleums as testaments to their wealth and industriousness. The grandeur of these tombs - bold, ostentatious, classical - speaks to their deep European roots, a stark and somewhat odd contrast to the untamed spirit of the New World.
We arrive one crisp February morning on a tour after arriving in Punta Arenas on our cruise ship. The sun was intensely bright against an absolutely clear blue sky. It was a surreal experience. But one has to admire the tenacity and perseverance of the early settlers to be able to carve out a new life in this frontier land albeit at the expense of the indigenous peoples."

"Bit of a tourist trap, but there aren't many attractions in Punta Arenas either. The cemetery is clean and tidy, like in a well maintained park. There is an entry fee if you enter through the main gate. At least ask about Sara Braun's history if you get there. Very good, funny and fascinating story near the end of the world"
