"So long as it’s the right time of year, you’ll definitely see lots of penguins! There are strict rules about staying on the path and not getting too close, but it’s fun to see them waddling around and laying in their burrows. There are plenty of other birds on the island as well.
The path around the island isn’t too long - an hour is plenty of time to walk it.
You have to take a boat here - it’s about an hour ride, but if you’re luckily you might see whales on the way!"
William Watson
"What an incredible experience! I absolutely loved my visit to the island. I admit I lucked out, as the weather was sunny and winds were light, making for a wonderful catamaran ride. Penguins were literally everywhere on the island, making for fantastic photo opportunities, and they are SO CUTE!! The guides (I booked through Comapa) were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute! An experience NOT to be missed! A once in a lifetime opportunity if you are in Punta Arenas."
