What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Yerba Loca Nature Sanctuary for its stunning natural beauty and proximity to Santiago, making it ideal for day trips and hiking. The variety of trails and peaceful atmosphere are highly appreciated. However, some note issues with flies near the parking lot and the lack of facilities like bathrooms.
"Absolutely amazing views and very close to Santiago city centre which makes it great for a day trip if you are staying in the city.
The roads up are very winding and people drive fast- watch out for children, dogs and pedestrians walking along the side of the street.
The actual park has a variety of hikes to go on however in the parking lot you will be chased by HUGE flies (because of the horse manure). So move away from the parking lot as quickly as you can to avoid being bitten."
Sabrina Paez-Parent
"It's one of my favorite hikings close to Santiago. You will be in the middle of nowhere so take everything what you need and enjoy the nature and the fresh breeze on your face."
Víctor Velásquez
"Really nice place for hiking and camping (really close to nature - there isn't bathroom 😸). You have to do reservations before entry."
