The driver who picked me up at the airport recommended this scenic spot to me. It is right next to the hotel where we stayed. It is said to be the largest Buddha statue in the Western Region. I thought it was just a Buddhist temple. When you come out of the Hilton Hotel, the entrance to the scenic spot is on the right. There is no entrance fee here. I walked up the mountain along the main road. There is a large children's playground along the way. There is a Central Asian Window that is still under construction on the road. Xinjiang is an important turning point for China in the Belt and Road Initiative and the center of cultural exchange in the Western Region. If there are too many people taking photos and checking in at the Grand Bazaar, you can come here to take photos if you live nearby. It is also very photogenic [OK] Continue walking along this main road to the Hongguangshan Big Buddha Temple. The area inside is really large. It is recommended that you must do a good job of sun protection or hold an umbrella when you come here. It is completely exposed to the sun. I want to walk in and take pictures at the foot of the Buddha. It is really completely unobstructed and walk in and walk back 😅
You can only walk into the Big Buddha Temple by yourself, but there are battery shuttle buses for going up and down the mountain. It costs 5 yuan per person for a one-way trip. I was already sunburned when I came out of the Big Buddha Temple. I took a bus down the mountain and returned to the hotel😆"
