"I was in Beijing 2008. Part of our itinerary is to go to Jade Factory, pearl house and tea house.
The factory is not that big but the sculptured jades are so many and huge. They also sell Jade accessories and jewelries. The same with the pearls.
We also had our tea making then had our lunch.
The food is delicious I eat the crunchy shrimp with coconut and fresh vegetables.
In Chinese it's become part of their culture is the Jade making, I don't know why. I'm getting Jaded."

"This is a Chinese state-run business. All the tours come here. You can get a little presentation of the art of Jade carving then you will be turned loose in the store. The info was interesting. The sales are not high pressure. There is jade for every budget. There is a little food and the toilets are above average. It is all indoors.
