Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the China Railway Museum for its impressive collection of locomotives and its authentic, 'in-your-face' presentation. The sheer scale of the trains, especially the outdoor exhibits, is a major draw. However, some find the museum's location a bit remote and suggest better signage for easier navigation.

"Okay, I truly disappointed after visit, I thought I could know more about the China Railway history, but this museum management really need to improve the museum knowledge.

Easy way to getting here is take a cab, I took bus, need to walk around 25 minutes.

Only locomotives display, like a locomotive tomb, nothing special.

I took a train from Malaysia to Europe. Beijing was a transit city in my itinerary. Welcome to follow my YouTube channel [Lonely Railway Explorer] and go through my Malaysia to Europe series to know more this attraction.

And I will say Kunming Railway Museum better than here, please watch my YouTube channel to know more about it."

Lonely Railway Explorer

"Choo choo. Outdoor stuff is free, going indoors is 20bucks, going into the train itself is another 10 bucks. If u can't read Chinese or your Chinese cannot make it, you'll only be able to read about each model of train but not the history of China's rail system cos that's in Chinese. Nearest bus stop is less than 1km but more than 500m away."

Yew Hong Yim

"This is the "Dong Jiao" exhibition hall of the China Railway Museum. Although the location is relatively remote, it is definitely worth it. There are many types of locomotives and vehicles from the Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the 21st century. It is a paradise for train lovers."
