Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking, vast landscapes of Yila Grassland, highlighting its serene atmosphere and the beauty of grazing animals. The seasonal changes, from blooming flowers to autumn colors, are frequently praised, though the lake's presence can vary. Some note the limited amenities and the need for preparedness regarding weather and food.
"The landscape here changes with the seasons, but we visited on the last day of July. The lake had mostly dried up, unveiling a stunning expanse of grassland. It was a breathtaking view, with yak, goats, and horses grazing peacefully. The area was vast and serene, with hardly any crowds—perfect for photos. It's only a 15-20 minute ride from Dukezong Ancient City. Definitely worth a visit!"

"Pretty expanse of grassland, although after it's rainy season a chunk of the grassland will be covered with water forming a lake. However since it's autumn, it's also beautiful with smattering of golden and red colors. Lots of cows and horses feeding in the grassland.
We drove around the lake but also walked through a village where locals are drying grass, for winter feeding perhaps?"
Saifu Angto
"First National Park in China!! Absolutely breathtaking with turquoise lake, blossoming rhododendron, verdant spruce forests, and many more! Best season to visit is Spring from May to June before the rainy season and when it is not that chilly."
