Upon arrival, the staff warmly welcomed us and helped with our baggage. We were offered a welcome drink and was promptly served at the check-in counter.
Deposit is required and we opted for cash deposit.
The staff introduced to us the facilities of the hotel and also recommended to us places of interest in the surrounding area.
The breakfast was amazing as well. Wide variety of breakfast options. Overall it was a fantastic experience 👍
One of the downside is that this property is a distance away from the city centre but ride hailing in China are efficient and cheap, so it doesn’t really bother us

For the price you are paying for a 5-star hotel - it is worth it to stay here - especially for the view from the room.
Property in general was nice, well-kept, both inside and outside. The rooms are quite run downed to be honest and didn't feel the most clean rooms. The couch felt really icky.

"Hotel looks expansive and grand. Very kids friendly hotel with activities to keep them occupied. There's even a mini zoo on the hotel compound and a cute train ride that's complimentary for in-house guests. Connecting rooms available for families. Room size is comfortable but the rooms do feel a little dated. Very good international spread for the buffet breakfast. Have a meal at the Shang Palace, great Chinese food at a very reasonable price. Some in-house discount applies if you charge to the guestroom. Service could be better for Shang standard. Would be nice if the front desk staff could smile more and be friendlier."
