What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Volga Manor is praised for its stunning, picturesque setting and unique Russian-inspired architecture, making it a photographer's paradise, especially in winter. However, some visitors find it lacks authentic cultural depth, feeling more like a beautiful facade. Despite this, the winter wonderland atmosphere and available snow activities make it a memorable experience for many.
"Beautiful Setting, But Lacks Authenticity
Volga Manor is undeniably a beautiful place, with stunning architecture and picturesque landscapes that make it a great spot for photos. The variety of buildings offers plenty of opportunities for capturing memorable shots, which is a definite plus.
However, I couldn’t shake the feeling that this Russian town is more of a facade than a genuine representation of Russian culture. While the aesthetics are impressive, the overall experience felt somewhat artificial. It’s as if the charm of a real Russian town has been manufactured rather than authentically represented.
If you’re looking for a visually appealing location for photography, Volga Manor delivers. But if you’re seeking an authentic cultural experience, you might find it lacking. Overall, it’s a mixed bag—beautiful to look at, but not quite what I expected."

"A large themed park comprises Russian architecture style buildings, both new and old. It is a stunning place to visit especially in Winter. Plenty of instagram worthy photos such as trees with ice crystal, a giant snow doll, an antique ship stranded on a frozen river bed, a viking ship, a church and buildings with a unique Russian style dome. There is also an art exhibition, showcasing ancient Chinese wood carvings. For fun seekers, there are a number of snow related fun activities such as slides and sleds available for both kids and adults to enjoy. There is a hotel inside the park but most visitors come on a day trip from Harbin."

"September 2024
The weather was good. The buildings are beautiful and special. There are costume shop where you can rent European dress and take photos.
I still remember when the sun went down, I saw a man playing saxophone in the park. That was so romantic.
Breakfast is delicious."
