Reviews Summary

The Heilongjiang Provincial Museum is a free attraction offering a look into regional history and culture, with notable exhibits like butterflies and silver jewelry. However, many visitors find the lack of English explanations and the dated facilities to be significant drawbacks, with some also noting crowd control issues. Reddit

"We usually do not visit museums in China, but stumbled on this pleasantly surprised find in Harbin on a Sunday afternoon. We did not make visit reservations, but the staff were nice to let us in. The museum houses contemporary contents with a limited range of wax figurines, aside from a collection of butterflies and silver tribal jewellery. Highly recommend this place to have a better understanding of old Harbin and her culture."

DENNIS TAN

"An old museum that needs to be upgrade to keep up with time. Every thing is in Chinese, the building is old and feels old. The artifacts looks legit but not appealing."

Julian Wong

"Free of charge, you need only your identity card or passport to get a ticket. Enjoy the history of HeiLongJiang."
