Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the absolutely stunning and majestic scenic views from Tiandu Peak, calling it the most memorable part of their Huangshan trip. However, the experience can be severely hampered by overwhelming crowds and extremely long wait times for trams, especially during holidays. The climb itself is very steep and challenging, requiring physical exertion and a good head for heights.

"Stunning scenic views. Avoid visiting on holiday. Look at the pictures you will know why. We had to wait in line for almost 2 hours to get on the tram. In addition, there were huge crowds of people up there waiting for you. You would need to be assertive to be able to get through the crowd."

"The ultimate challenge of our Husngshan trip two years ago—-Tiandu peak
Tiandu peak is more or less a huge Rock, the only way to go up & down is climbing with ropes or chains on the rock. It’s quite dangerous when you need to make room for people going down when you are going up. It’s even worse when the wind blows. I was almost gave up but insisted to go over the top (the small yellow dot on the rock is me wearing my yellow jacket).
Moreover, we were lucky to observe the so called “Buddha Light” on our way up. Ten of 16 people completed the challenge to go all the way up to the top of Tiandu peak. It’s the most challenging but also the most memorable part of our Huangshan trip."
