"You can only enter from the north gate along changjiang road. If you are a foreigner, its easier to buy tickets physically at the ticket booth. Museum of silk and some other exhibitions. 3 floors of exhibitions, most interesting is in the basement. You can come at certain times for free chinese guided tour, or use the wechat app for an audio English self guided tour."

Kelvin Tan

"Built on part of the original Imperial Silk Manufacturers site. The " repaired" weaving hand machine is really amazing.. some up to a thousand of threads run through the feeders to create multi-colors jacquard fabric... 400s years ago by hand.
There is also a museum of 'Dreams of the Red Mansion' because the story is closely related to the families of the chiefs of this Imperial Silk maker."
